Can Rapid Heart Beat, Nausea And Weakness After Finishing Periods Be A Symptom Of Pregnancy?
Hi Doctor, I have a personal question..I had unprotected sex last week on Sunday (my boyfriend withdrew though when he finished) and then the next day I started my period. When I finished my cycle, I have been experiencing rapid heart beat, nausea and weakness. Can I be pregnant?
Hi, Thanks for the query. If you got periods on expected date and if the amount of bleeding is normal, there is less possibility for pregnancy. If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation and if the bleeding was scanty, there is some possibility for pregnancy. Weakness can be due to other causes like anemia, nutritional deficiency, thyroid hormonal abnormalities etc. Blood loss in the menstrual period can increase the severity of anemia. And that can lead to symptoms like weakness, giddiness etc. So, once check for hemoglobin levels and blood sugar levels. If your doctor recommends go for thyroid profile. With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated. Take care.
