Can Rapid Pulse Under Ribs Be Related To A Heart Disease?

I have this rapid pulse under my ribs and the beating is so fast that when I put my finger on it I could see my finger moving as well. Almost every day I m feeling it specially when I m hungry and in pain. My Gastro told me it could be related to my heart. What do you think the possible reason? Pls help
