Can Recurrence Of Menses In Same Month Be Sign Of Pregnancy?
Please help me! I have had my period twice this month, I am 17 years old my boyfriend and I rarely use protection. The second period is heavy and been gong on for 3 days today. I feel and have been having clear symptoms of pregnancy. Is it possible that I am indeed pregnant?
Please do not worry. Pregnancy causes absent periods. The only time you bleed due to pregnancy is a miscarriage [ or abortion]. So if you had a normal period before this then pregnancy is not likely. However it is better to get a urine pregnancy test done to rule it out. Other causes of repeated frequent periods are fibroids, hormonal imbalances and dysfunctional uterine bleeding [ where no cause is found].
If you continue to have heavy and frequent periods despite a negative pregnancy test, it is better to get an evaluation from a gynecologist to determine the exact cause so that proper treatment can be given.
