Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello and thanks for your query.

I understand that you are concerned about your sister's recent abnormal behaviour. You have mentioned that she had depression 17 years ago and so, it is likely that she is now having a relapse of her previous illness.

You have not given much details about her symptoms and so it is not possible for me to suggest a diagnosis. But I would advise you to take her to a psychiatrist as early as possible for a detailed evaluation and treatment.

The earlier treatment is started, better will the recovery be. Alprax is just a sedative and won't help much. Specific treatment has to be given according to the diagnosis.

Best wishes.
