Removal of thyroid leads to deficiency of thyroid hormones in body.
Deficiency of thyroid hormones is corrected by thyroid hormone replacement.
Thyroid hormones are required for maintenance of body metabolism and homeostasis.
Disturbance of thyroid hormones leads to disturbances in weight, appetite, sleep, mood etc.
Thus, please let me know whether you are taking any thyroid hormone replacement therapy?
If yes, then you need to get it reviewed by your physician.
A change in dosage of thyroid hormones may be required.
