Can Salt Water Gargling Increase BP?

yes please. my wife is taking a blood pressure medication (which she has just started). And she is battling sinusitis and is taking amoxacilin. Add to that she gargled with salt water tonight. her B.P is 181 /95 which is higher than it has been over the past few days under control with Linsinop/hctz ( with the amoxacilin but no gargling)..Question. Is it realistic that the Bp mighthave gone higher than normal because of the salt water gargle?

It is very unlikely. Single blood pressures should not prompt great concern. Decisions are best made from an average value from a two week span. Record her blood pressure on a schedule every day for two weeks. Use the average value to judge her control.
