Dermatology question: Have lichen sclerosus diagnosed 6 yr ago by biopsy of episiotomy scar tissue. Four days ago attempted intercourse but pain and irritation at scar area, used organic lubricant on me but not on him, did not continue. Maybe I tore a tiny bit (did not visually check it out) because I did have a tiny tear from same attempt 4 mo ago with same partner and dermatologist told me area was healed. Since 4 says ago, tenderness, occasional burning in corner edge of vagina (scar area), have dry skin, dehydrated possibly. Currently was in chlorinated pool. Light bleeding after wiping genital area with toilet paper instead of using my organic wipes. Questions: is it ok to go in chlorinated pool right now and 2-3x per day for next 8 days....and, what to do before and after being in pool water? Could use sitz baths if it would help. Concern is if the tiny bleed area could opportune infection from chlorinated pool.
