Can Severe Cough Cause Spotting?

Hello I m on the I plan on, been on it for two years now and hadn t had a period since. I got a horrible cough that sounds like my lungs are on fire and so is my chest. Coughing gets so bad that sometimes I end up vomiting and now I started spotting... So can cough cause you to spot blood while not being pregnant???
