Can Shingles Cause Rash In Vaginal And Groin Area?

I have, been with my husband for 26 years. I never have, and I don t believe he has either ever had signs of genital herpes. I have a rash that appearedred over 2 das ago. It is on 1 side of my vagina only and my groin and about 2 inches down my leg. There is a clear space on my leg and then a little more rash. My doctor saw me today and said she is treating me for shingles. Can she know it is shingles by looking at it? My husband asked why she did not test me for herpes. Also, this past Sunday I was on a waterslide. If my husband and I both have been faithful, could it be herpes appearing from over 25 years ago for the first time now??end of question thank yousorry. Also, my husband said I could get herpes from a waterslide. Done again. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

shingles is also caused by a type of herpes virus, it has a characteristic appearance and involves specific skin are called dermatome. shingles are usually diagnosed by doctors in clinics. genital herpes can't reappear after so many years so in your case it is overruled and it is transmitted by saliva and sexual contact. so if your doctor says its shingles then its shingles.
