Can Shoulder Blade Pain After Chiropractic Treatment Suggest Lung Cancer Or Tendonitis?

Pain in shoulder blade area. I have an area around the left shoulder blade that is very uncomfortable when standing or moving around -- when I lie down the pain subsides to a more tolerable level. I have had two chiropractic treatments and it is starting to feel better however I am concerned about symptoms for lung cancer. I am a non-smoker and I may be reading something into this then tendonitis or similar muscular aliments - Hopefully this is not the worse case scenario. It should be noted that about a year ago I had similar symptoms but not as acute pain.

Hello dear,

First of all please do not get concerned with the possibility of lung cancer.
Based on the fact that the pain subsides on lying down & chiropractic treatments, the symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal pain.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.

If it still persists, an X ray of chest will be needed to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
