Can Sleeping Medication Be Taken Before Sinus Surgery?

My wife, 72, will have sinus surgery tomorrow morning (outpatient) and has been told not to eat anything after midnight. For sleep, she normally takes 2x1mg Ativan and 2x10mg Mogodon. She will have a general anaesthetic for surgery...Can she take her sleeping meds tonight? Thank you. Scott

Hi, Welcome to HCM,
Inform your doctor prior to any surgery regarding nitrazepam medication as it may have to be stopped briefly before the procedure. Nitrazepam should not be combined with certain medications given during surgery....
Ativan-It is also used before surgery to help relax you.but the doctor should be informed regarding the same...
