Can Slight Cramps With Burning Abdomen Post Having Protected Sex Indicate Pregnancy?

I m on Tri-Prevefem and had protected sex a week after my last period. The day before I was late taking my pill but did not miss it. This was 3 weeks ago, and I ve been having slight cramps and abdominal burning since then. I ve taken two preg tests that have come out negative, but my next expected period isn t supposed to be for another 9 days. Is there any possibility I could be pregnant?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A history of protected sex and two negative pregnancy tests rule out the possibility of pregnancy.
Abdominal cramps are probably due to some other cause and not pregnancy.
Menstrual cycles are also accompanied or preceded by abdominal cramps.
Thus, the cramps can be a sign of pre-menstrual symptom or can be due to other cause.
If the cramps persist for longer duration and are not a part of pre-menstrual syndrome, you need to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and relevant investigations like ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.

Thanks and take care
