Can Smoking Marijuana Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Armpit And Groin?

I am a 61 year old male and recently I noticed a lump in both my breast which are very tender. I went to my doctor and they sent me to get a mammogram which turned out negative. I have for the past 2 years been getting a CT scan for a nodual in my left lung. My last CT scan showed another small nodual in the same lung. Now I have lumps in both my arm pits as well as my groin area. I use to drink fairly heavy and have stopped for almost a year. I have used medical marijuana to help stop drinking. For about the same period of time. Can my smoking marijuana be associated with my swollen lymph nodes?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to marijuana.

If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for a fine needle biopsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
