Can Smoking Cause Diarrhea?

For the past 8 months from getting back from mexico i have had diorehha, i have been to the doctors had a blood test and are now waiting for another appointment to have a camera insterted through my bum. I only started smoking heavily before going to mexico, could it be ciggerettes that are giving me this problem?

while, yes, nicotine is a well-known stimulant of the digestive tract.. there's an awful lot of people who get diarrhea when visiting Mexico. The fundamental problem .. which probably cannot be found by current tests .. is that the colon bugs in the contaminated food in Mexico, while the same species as those we all have... is just different. Any change in the germs in the colon does this until we readapt to them.
