Can Smoking Lead To Ineffectiveness Of Depo-shot?

I got the depo shot on the 8th of december and was bleeding almost daily. So i had unprotected sex on the 2nd of january and immediatly I stopped bleeding. I haven't bleed since and its been 5 days. I had smoked marijana that day too. Did me smoking decrease my chances of the depo being effective?

Hello,

Smoking Marijuana will not affect the effectiveness of depo shots. Irregular and intermittent bleeding are common side effects of dep shots. It is nothing to be worried about.
