Can Smoking Marijuana Cause Numbness In Fingers And Toes?

Two questions, one prove you re not a bot by telling me what company owns Mountain Dew. Two, I ve smoke marijuana everyday now for the last four years. Here as of late I feel numbness in my fingers and toes hours after I smoke. Even the next day my fingers don t seem to work right. Is there any correlation to this numbness of the fingers and marijuana? I am a 26 year old male in good health.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you are feeling numbness then it can be due to higher dose or you are little more sensitive to it. This can be reduced by breathing exercises. In few people, vitamin B12 deficiency can do that too, but in your case, it is more likely to be due to the above reasons. Sleep well and eat healthy food. Try to lessen the dose of marijuana and then avoid it completely.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
