Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Smoking Marijuana React With Treatment For Bipolar Disorder?
My son received has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. He received his second depot injection on Tuesday. Today his lips smelled very badly and he had a pain in his jaw. He had admitted to smoking marijuanan. Could that have caused the reaction?
His symptoms could be an allergic reaction. For this reason, I recommend going to the ER for a physical exam. A tooth infection can not be excluded either, considering the jaw pain. Consulting with a dentist may be needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
