Can Smoking Weed Cause Sharp Pain In Throat (around The Tonsils)?

When I yawn or open my mouth wide to where it stretches the back of my throat it feels as if my left tonsil has this sharp pain (specifically when I stretch my throat, not when I swallow) at first I felt like it was lower in my espohegus but I m starting to be convinced that it s my left tonsil. I have smoked weed for about 3 years but this is the first time I have felt this kind of pain? I woke up I think 2 days ago having this problem an hasn t gone away nor changed in any way I would say. Best suggestions please and thank you for your time.

Hello

One sided pain is a cause of concern specially considering your history of smoking!
Please meet your doctor to look for any growth or mass in the tonsil or back part of your throat, please dont ignore this.
For the meantime you can gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day.
Please meet your doctor
Thanks
