Can Something Stuck In Back Of Throat Feeling Be Sign Of Cancer ?

Starting Last Sunday the 16th I could feel something in the back of my throat like I had food stuck. A few days later I was looking into my mouth and when I depressed my tongue with my toothbrush I could see my epiglottis and knew that's where the feeling was coming from. Now when i Look into my mouth I can see my epiglottis without depressing my tongue. I saw my doctor on Friday and she said she couldn't see anything wrong and it wasn't epiglottitus because I was vaccinated when I was younger. I'm not experiencing any pain, I don't have trouble breathing or swallowing food it's just really uncomfortable being able to feel that all the time. Is this something I should be worried about?should I be able to see my epiglottis? Could this be an early sign of some sort of cancer?
A little background on me, Im 26 6'3" 180 lbs I work out 4 times a week like to stay in shape, don't smoke, never have. I drink occasionally, maybe 1-2 beers a week. There is no family members that know of that have ever had throat cancer or any cancer for that matter.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi. Throat cancers are rare in persons who do not use/ smoke tobacco. As you have told, if the throat examination by doctor (i.e. laryngoscopy examination), shows normal findings then you should not worry.
Thanks.
