Can Sore Throats And Diarrhea Be The Symptoms Of HIV?

Hi I feel like I am ill all the time! I have had tonsilitis 3 times this year and seem to always have sore throats and swollen glands. I quite regulary have diarrhea ( maybe once a week). I am so scared I have an illness. I was looking online at possible causes for my symptoms anf I am scared I have contracted hiv. I had unprotected sex a few years ago and was tested straight after and was fine but now I read that hiv doesnt show up until 3 months. I am really worried.

Thanks

Thank you for query.the symptoms suggested are non specific and are not related to HIV.Tonsillitis does occur 3-4 times a year in children, adolescents and is not related to HIV..Diarrhea details like frequency other symptoms are not clear .it may be due to infections or irritable bowel syndrome etc.you can get a test for HIV antibodies done to allay your fears of HIV.you can contact your doctor for investigation. You can get back for any clarifications with details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and venereologist.
