Can Sores Around The Anus Be The Side Effect Of Radiation Treatment?

I had radiation for cervical cancer which ended late October. I was constantly having to go to the bathroom. After my 3 month visit, I developed raised sores around my anus. They went away after a few weeks, but now almost 6 months later, they are back. What are these sores, and are they a side affect from the radiation treatments

Hello,
It can be a radiation proctiitis.
As of now you can apply topical antibiotics like mupirocin after cleaning with soap and water.
If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
