Can Spinal Stenosis Cause Headache And Back Pain?

I have been diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis after suffering with sciatica for 5 weeks. I awaken during the night with a severe headache, eventually falling asleep after changing positions. Headache gradually lessens after I get up and shower. Also after taking ibuprofen for back pain. Is the headache related to the spine issue?? Thanks in advance for your help.
