Can Spotting With Cramps And Vomiting Be A Sign Of Pregnancy?

Im 16 and sexually active with my boyfriend i have recently gotten my first depo vera shot and we hardly ever use condoms now because its only a .1% chance of pregnancy. i expected my period late so i wasn t worried about it, it was about 14 days late and it stared with very light spotting and then the next day still hardly there, then i woke up the next morning with the worst cramps ive ever experienced and almost threw up and my flow was then heavy. later that day i went to the bathroom and there was whitish thick, flesh-like, inch wide clumps on my pad. that was only the 3rd day of my period and im now done which isnt normal for me. i was worried and looked it up but im still concerned and confused on what it might be, any ideas?

Hallow Dear,

Your history suggests that you had passed big lump of endometrium (uterine lining) during your menses. This big lump while passing through the uterine opening (cervix) stretched it forcibly. Also the uterus had to contract forcibly to push this lump through the closed cervix. This caused lot of abdominal pain. Any sever pain causes nausea and even vomiting also.

I do not thing you are pregnant for the following reasons:

1. You are on Depo which is very effective contraceptive method.

2. Severe cramps is not a symptom of normal pregnancy. In fact such pain indicates some complication of pregnancy like abortion, ectopic pregnancy, etc.

3. You had menses.

I hope this removes your stress.
