Can Steroid Injections In The Knees Cause High Blood Pressure?

51 yr old female, 5'8, 210 lbs, not diabetic, non-smoker. I had steroid injections in both knees 9 weeks ago. Previous abrasion orthoplasty in right knee (2003), standard clean up in left knee (2007). Looking at TKR in two months, but blood pressure is too high. Previously controlled with Lotrel 10/40 to 140/80, now 170/110 with no change in weight, diet, exercise. Is it possible that the steroid injections are still affecting my BP after 9 weeks? Also... changed hypertension meds 10 days ago to a new 'triple' drug, amlodipine, arb, hydrosomething. If this drug helps, what would be an appropriate time for the meds to have an appreciable affect?
