My mother is 79 years old, and had a herniated disk in her back, in which the doctors prescribed her Norco, and some anti inflammatory meds that did not agree with her, she was taking 0.5mg of lorazipam, for anxiety , and t Norco, plus a OTC c in the morning before eating - due to acid reflux.the pain was terrible so we had to take her into the ER , 2 times, in which her condition seems to be getting worse. we found out that she had a UTI, a also the pain doctor for her back gave her a steroid shot, last week on Tuesday. after this she has become very delusional. and thinks she has no insurance etc, and she did not keep the house clean etc, and they are going to close it down.. (my father is home with Bladder Cancer..she has never been depressed in the past. but the Psychiatrist is saying she is depressed and needs to have ETC treatments.. we are very disturbed with this.. and possibly believe this could be from the UTI and the steroid shot. since this just stared after the shot was given. the UTI has been cleared (they said) but she is still delusional. can the steroid shot cause this, with having a UTI, how log before the shot will become inactive in her.
