Can Stickiness Be Connected With Low Blood Sugar For A 70-year-old?

I have stickiness under my toes and the ball of my feet and today my palms were also sticky. I wash them but, still sticky. Could my low blood sugar have anything to do with it? I m 70yrs old and in general good health, but these sticky feet are getting on my nerves.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Stickiness which you are feeling is due to excessive sweating in your sole and palm. There are many causes of excessive sweating in sole & palm. Yes low blood sugar causes excessive sweating in sole & palm. You have not mentioned your blood sugar level. Are you taking any anti-diabetic medicine??
Advise
1.     Get done your blood sugar level – fasting & postprandial
2.     Contact your endocrinologist for dose and medicine adjustment as per blood sugar level
3.     Do not take much mental stress as any kind of mental stress also causes excessive sweating
4.     Adopt hygienic practices as wet surface predispose to bacterial and fungal infection
5.     Use dusting powder. It will reduce sweating to some extent
All the best!!
