Can Stiffness In The Lower Back Be Related To Muscle Strain?

Hello, I was lying on a somewhat soft bed and doing bicycling exercises and when I woke up the next morning by lower back was very stiff and painful. Could it be a muscle strain? Pain is made worse whenever I bend my neck as looking if down on the floor when standing.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle strain. I suggest using a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen. I also suggest using magnesium supplement and Voltaren gel for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
