Can Stopping Metformin Cure Gastroparesis, Or Has It Caused Permanent Stomach Damage?

I ve been taking Metformin for over 10 years. I was becoming very nauseated over the last year so I ask to have a scope done. I now have gastroparesis. I told my doctor I was going to stop taking it and she agreed. I don t know if this is curable by not taking it anymore or if it just caused damage to my stomach! ALL I know is that I had ask my doctor for years about getting off of this stuff...and she didn t think I should! WELL now I know that this causes a lot of problems and now I have gastroparesis...and hopefully it gets better!
