Can Stopping Intake Of Brith Control Pills Induce Early Periods?

Hi I wanted to see if I could prepone my period by 2 weeks (stopping to take my birth control). i am on week 10 (on seasonique) so will be getting my period in 2 weeks. I would like to get it now and then immediately start a new pack of pills. is this safe?? thank you. i am 28 years old. 5 6 and 115 lbs. healthy.

Hi,

You can stop the stop the pill and your withdrawal bleeding will occur in the following days. You need to keep in mind that during this period and next 7 days after starting a new pack, you are not completely protected against pregnancy. In some women, stopping mid pack can delay the periods or cause spotting.
