You should see a doctor to test if you have strep throat and take the antibiotics recommended to you for treatment if you have it. Group B strep is a different kind of strep from the kind that causes strep throat, however both types are treated with penicillin-based antibiotics which are safe during pregnancy. The throat infection can cause high fevers which can make you weak during labor as well as risking your contact with the baby after it is born so I suggest you get examined and treated as soon as you can. Any family doctor can check your throat if they are willing- pregnant women can get sick just like anyone else. I hope this is helpful and good luck!
