Can Stress Cause Delay In Menstruation?

Hi! I might be pregnant and won t have access to a test for a few days. I m six days late, but my boyfriend and I have only had sex twice. We used protection, it was about two/three weeks ago, and there were no breaks in the condoms. Also, I had final exams during my ovulation period and was incredibly stressed. Some people have said stress can delay a period. How likely do you think this is? Either way, of course, I will still get a test as soon as possible. I would just like a reasonable guess to calm my nerves.

Hello,

There is no any contraceptive gives 100 % protection. For that I would suggest you to do urine pregnancy test. You may require obstetrics ultrasound and beta hCG levels after gynecologist consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. Keep your self hydrated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
