Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I ve been experiencing sudden pound on the center of my chest. Most of the time, it triggers when I climb the stairs. No any pain experienced but it cause me a panic. Been diagnosed of IBS, and Gerd. Also, when im into too much stress, there is a split of second pound on my chest.
As per your query you have feeling of haeviness in your chest specially when you climb up stairs . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to many reasons like acid reflux ( you already undergo test ) , allergic or seasonal asthma , cardiac problem . There is no need to panic , but do consult cardiologist fr proper checkup . Doctor may order certain test like TMT , ECG and blood lipid profile along with body vitals . I would suggest you to take proper rest , avoid stairs , do nt take stress and avoid fatty food , eat only light food . Doctor may prescribe medicine like amlodipine and atenolol or atorvastatin . Doctor may also refer you to allergic specialist in case of asthma .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
