Can Stress Cause Vaginal Bleeding And Spotting Continuously?

Hi, I had my period just over a week ago and have been very regular since having my daughter 3.5 years ago. Ive had a really stressful week in that me and my husband nearly ended our 15 year marriage. On the worst day i started to bleed at first it was brown blood but later in the day it was red not heavy but still needing a pad! Three days later im still getting a tiny amount of spotting ...could it be stress??
