Can Surgical Abortion Be Suggestible For Multiple Follicles In Ovaries?
My wife had an mtp at 2months of gestation ..now on doing TVS after 2weeks of mtp ..she had normal size of uterus..retained products of size 2cm*0.8cm ..no other symptoms ..both ovaries have multipke follicle ..now does she need surgical abortion ..what about future pregnancy ??
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Retained products of 2 cm can be removed by both medicines and D & C. The decision has to be taken by your treating OBGYN specialist. Multiple follicles in the ovaries is suggestive of polycystic ovaries, and if there are complaints like irregular periods or excessive hair growth on face or body, then it is suggestive of polycystic ovarian disease. She should take proper treatment for it. Further pregnancy is not affected by retained products of conception. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN specialist
