Can Swallowed Food Get Stuck In Throat?

I ate a hot dog and didn't chew it very well. It got lodged in my throat and after trying to swallow several times, it finally went down. But now it feels like a piece is still there when I swallow. I can eat and breath normally, but every time I swallow, I can still feel something in my throat, just below my epiglottis. Is this because it is sctatched or swollen, or could I still have something stuck somewhere?
