Can Swollen Scar Tissue Caused By Finger Fracture And Dislocation Be Treated?

I dislocated my ring finger on my left hand. I didn't seem too bad so I didn't go to the doctor and went to work the next day without any treatment. I'm afraid that doing so had caused scar tissue to form at the joint and causes it to look permanently swollen. Can the scar tissue be removed surgically?
