Can Syphilis Be Contracted Through Sexual Intercourse?
I found out after my wife died she was treated for syphyllis 10 years after we were married. I don t now and never did have a positive blood test and never had signs of it. I never had an affair, however she did, which she confessed to and we moved on and lived the rest of our lives not just as spouses, but as best friends. We had sex at least 5x week in our 30 s, 40 s & 50 s. Why was I spared. Should I be treated for it despite negative tests.
