Can Taking Canestan Cause Bleeding In Vagina Due To Thrush?

I have been suffering from thrush so have been prescribed canestan pessary and cream. I started on thursday, stopped on sunday when the symptoms have disappeared, but have been bleeding sunday night and all through monday. It's not a period as I'm on the contraceptive pill, is it a reaction to Canestan?
