Can Taking Oxycodone Be Safe For Pain Relief After Having A Knuckle Surgery?

Thank-You, My son had his middle finger riped off from the first knuckle. Had surgery, the pain is unbelieviable. He took oxycodoine, (2) 7:30 am and (2) at 8:00 am the pain was terrible. He had some vic. From when he had his wisdom teeth pulled out. so he took (1) 5mg 9:45am, (1)10:10am, 11:15am. That seemed to help for a little while. What should he took before the pain starts up again. Should he stay on Oxycodine, what about the vic. is it ok to mix. Thank-You Danna i

Hi,

Your pain is post surgical and oxycodone is good analgesic. I would recommend you to take it with acetaminophen in alternate.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
