Can Taking Aleve Cause Increased AST And ALT Levels?

I had full blood work done during a life insurance application process and had high SGOT (AST) (57), and SGPT (ALT) (61) levels. These results don't seem excessively high, but I want to stop any possibly problems before they seem seriouse. I am 31, in great shape, no hepititis, and otherwise very healthy. I drink alcohol, but rairly have more than one or two drinks. At the time, I was taking aleve for some muscle inflamation, per my doctors request. Could the Aleve cause a rise in those levels?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted your liver enzymes slight high....

Naproxen drug you have mentioned if taken infrequently then not lead enzymes elevation...
If used for long time then liver affection can occur....

Here you are mentioning some muscle inflammation ....So let me know you myositis like muscular inflammation can lead enzymes elevation.
So investigated properly and treated....
If needed connective disorders has to be ruled out....

Second do your USG abdomen to rule out fatty liver and gall stone.....

If you are obese then loose weight....

If history of unprotected sex and blood transfusion history then HBSag detected by ELISA....

Take care.
