Can Taking Birth Control Pills At Odd Times Cause Spotting?
My girlfriend is on birth control and she works irregular hours and one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) this month she took her pills at different time. Can that cause spotting? We have safe sex birth control and I always were a condom. She is not worried at all but I am. Please help.
Taking the pill at different times and irregularly can cause such spotting. It can also affect the efficacy of the pill. So please be advised to take the pill at the scheduled time every day. If she do not get withdrawal bleeding as expected, take a home pregnancy test.
