Can Taking Northisterone Cause Leg Pain And Headache?

I have been prescribed Norethisterone 1 5mg tablet 3 times a day to stop bleeding and some very awful accompanying symptoms but they are giving me leg pain and headaches. My doctor has said I have nothing to worry about and to keep taking them but I would like to know can I reduce the dose to 2 5mg tablets a day instead of 3?
