Can Tendinopathy Induce Shoulder Pain Overnight Without Previous Symptoms?

I was in a car wreck 2 months ago i have been experiencing shoulder pain x-ray show arthritis but still having loss of range of motion so they did MRI now they say it is tendinopathy caused from wear and tear But I did not have any pain before the accident could this be from car accident
