Can Thalassemia During Pregnancy Affect The Child Too?

my weight 85kgs height 6 feet. my wife thalassemia is minor and my thalassemia is also minor, my wife is having a baby 10 days up to pregnancy. my question is our child will be thalassemina effected or not. i live in jaipur can you advice my a good docter.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
There are 25% chances of the baby having thalassemia major, 50% chances of being a minor and 25% chances of a completely normal baby.
So you should get a chorionic villus sampling in order to find out the status of baby.
