Can The Hymen Be Broken Via Fingering?

I'm a moroccan muslim girl from Belgium and this is my story.
When I was 16 I started fingering myself when I did it the first time, there was a litlle blood.
When I became 20, I had my first boyfriend and I had sex with him for the first time, but there was no blood.
I told him what happend and that i had fingered myself and that i lost some blood, and probably had broke my hymen.
He doesnt believe me he really really needs a doctors confirmation that it is possible to break the hymen when fingering.
He says it is not possible, and that a hymen can only break, when a penis comes in and he says doctors in morocco confirmed this.
Please help me I love him somuch, I need to know if a doctor can convince him that it is possible.

Please inform your boyfriend that the hymen can indeed be broken by fingering. In fact, from documented cases, there have been women who have had penetrative vaginal intercourse and have had an intact hymen, but have broken their hymen after 'fingering', although this is very rare.

Almost all women, who have not experienced vaginal penetration but have introduced fingers inside their vagina have caused the breaking of their hymen. This is because the hymen is usually very thin, but it can be thick in some women. The fact that you have experienced a bleed after you introduced your finger into your vagina is confirmation that your hymen was ruptured. This is very very common.
