Can The Walgreens Cold And Flu Relief Be Taken Along With Advil?

I have the flu but did get the flu shot back in October. I went through the fever and chills yesterday and today; and now have this stupid dry cough that won't let me sleep. It's like an itchy throat thing and then I have to cough but it is a dry cough. I am thinking of taking walgreen"s multi-symptom relief cold & flu relief. I also have cheratussin Ac syrup but not sure i want to do the codeine thing. I took 200 mg. advil at 9pm and it is 12:30 a.m. now. My question: can I take the walgreens nighttime cold & flu relief when it has 325 mg, acetaminophen when I still have advil in my system?

Hi,

I have gone through your query.
Walgreen's Multi-Symptom Nighttime Cold & Flu Relief contains Acetaminophen500 mg , Dextromethorphan HBr - 15 mg(Cough Suppressant) , Doxylamine Succinate (6.25 mg)(Antihistamine).
Since you are having cold and flu, symptomatic treatment is taken. You can take it even if you have taken Advil (Ibuprofen). Non of these interact and it is safe to take it.
