Can The Fever Be Due To Typhoid?

I had 102 F fever for a day, went to the doctor, he gave me panadol, which lowered my fever to 99F within an hour or so, he also asked tme to get a blood CP, Typhoid ICT Serology test and Blood test for malaria, IgG and IgM were positive, malaria test is negative, do I have typhoid?

hello n welcome. here is ur plan.diagnosis of typhoid is most accurately done via culture of atleast two specimens usually blood n stool. igG n igM via typhidot is less accurate than culture n so is the old widal test. typhoid symptoms vary n include moderate to high grade fever headache vague abdominal discomfort bodyaches doughy abdomen n in some patients rose spots on the abdomen. as both ur igG n igM r +ve u should start treatment. i would advise TAB CEFSPAN 400 MG (1+1) FOR 10 days
try to have soft food n plenty of fluids. dont worry u will recover. thanx
