Can The Growth Of Tumor Be Diagnosed In CT Scan?

Hi there, I was diagnosed with Neurocytoma last August and was operated in November. I live in India and operation was done in INI Germany. They removed the tumor which was benign and added the VP shunt to avoid the CSF fluid accumulation. Its been 4 months since my last CT and my report says that I have to do the MRI. It also says that shunt pressure must be checked before and after the MRI but in my city docotrs dont have the device to set the pressure of Codman-Hakim shunt. So I am worried. My doctors want to check if there is any regrowth. Can it be seen with CT? Should I get CT scan with x-ray or the CT is enough? Is it safe? Can CT reset the shunt pressure?

HI
Well come to HCM
As long as the shunt is concern it gets block very soon so in my opinion you just forget about the shunt because it have done what ever it needs to be done and there wont be any increase CSF pressure inside the meningeal region, if you want to ruled out the possibility of SOLE the CT of brain is the best to be done, hope this information may helps.
