Can The Medicine, Cymbalta, Cause Sore Throat (subsided After Antibiotics And Steroids) And White Spots On Tongue?

I started taking cymbalta recently and have increased the dose to 60mg twice daily and I have gone to the doctor because my throat was infected and I have white spots on my tongue and it burns when I eat or drink. She gave me an antibiotic and a steroid to take and the swelling in my throat went down, but my tongue still has spots and burns. The doctor doesn't know the cause of my sore throat. I have been being treated for severe depression for over 20 years and have taken almost every kind of antidepressant there is and this medicine has helped me more than any other kind.

hello. cybalta can cause little dryness of mouth, but is unlikely to cause an infection or white spots. the white spots may be due to an infection and you may need another course of antibiotics. please meet your ENT doctor for further guidance. thanks
