Can The Numbing Cream Or The Fraxel Itself Can Cause Popping White Heads All Over Face ?

Last week i had fraxel performed on my face? It has been a week but i have white heads popping up all over my face and my skin is ver red and dry. I went to the dermatologist and they put me on predisone. Do you think the numbing creme or the faxel itself might have caused this reaction

Hi,

I can understand your concern for popping white heads all over face after fraxel.

It si quite common to find popping of white heads due to occlusion of pores by numbing cream as well as due to heat generated on skin during Fraxel laser. In my view correlating with the facts you have provided it appears to be simple popping due to both heat and clogging of pores so do not worry about any serious possibility in the same.

I suggest you to do cold compression oer the affected area and use a sunscreen which is gel based. In between you should wash the area properly and apply an antibiotic cream such as mupirocin or fucidin.
